The M series are a selection of some of the X4 & X6 series props which have been modified by OCTURA by removing the ears and reprofiling the blade. This enables the prop to unload the motor. An example would be where your motor using a X447 prop was just struggling to get max perfomance and by going down to an X445 was over revving the motor, then by using the M447 this cured the problem. You still have the same pitch & diameter, but the blade area has been reduced thus unloading the motor. This is more noticable on the fast electric setups but is equally usefull on the I.C. setups.

These mounts are made from extruded aluminum section as shown in the diagrams. The engine sits in its own cradle which may have to be opened up to take the crankcase and then drilled and tapped for the mounting bolts. Several mounts are available for PICCO & K & B engines already machined and tapped. Mounts are available to fit between 4 & 5" rails. Inserts only are also available."

The OCTURA® balancer consists of an extruded ali base incorporating two parallel steel rods for the prop balancing rod to roll on. There is a levelling screw in the base and three imperial size rods for the props. 1/8", 3/16" and 1/4", which are stored in the base body, plus instructions

These have a low 1.2:1 pitch to diameter ratio with a 3/16 bore for drive dog use. They are ideal for convetional underwater use. Most are made in glass filled plastic but Octura have recently produced a few of them in BeCu, a 1240 a 1240/3 and a 1245 along with the 1250. These have found use on both IC motors and electric motors. Also available in 1400 series which is 1.4:1 pitch.

The standard size S9202 4.8/6v features a coreless motor, ball bearings & water/dust tight seals. Incredible holding power & resolution makes this the most widely used servo.
